6 Tips for Scoring the Best Bucks Ticket Prices

In recent years, the Milwaukee Bucks have turned into one of the premier teams in the NBA’s Eastern Conference. Naturally, Bucks ticket prices have been on the rise with more demand to see the team play live. That doesn’t mean you should shy away from watching the Bucks, it just means you have to be a little bit smarter in the way you go about buying Bucks tickets to make sure you get the best Bucks ticket prices.

Utilize the Secondary Market

If you’re only interested in attending one or two Bucks games during the season, exploring your options on the secondary market is usually your best option. Going to the box office on game day has become a thing of the past. Nowadays, there are so many different websites that resale tickets to sporting events that it’s really easy to find good deals. All you have to do is pick what Bucks game you want to attend, set a budget for yourself, and find the best seats that suit your budget. It’s the best way to find tickets cheaper than you would at the box office.

Go Early in the Season

For teams like the Bucks that have their sights set on winning a championship, the best ticket prices are usually going to be found early in the season. Opening night is an exception to this because every fan will want to be in attendance for that game. However, keep in mind that when the playoff race heats up late in the season, tickets for a winning team like the Bucks will be more in demand and more expensive. Once the initial excitement about the season starts to fade a few weeks after the season opener, you’re more likely to find affordable tickets than you would if you wait until late in the season to attend a game.

Keep the Opponent in Mind

No matter what NBA team you’re talking about, the opponent is always going to have an impact on the cost of tickets. For the Bucks, rivalry games against teams like the Bulls, Cavaliers, and Timberwolves will usually be more expensive, especially the Bulls. Games against marquee teams like the Lakers, Clippers, and Warriors will also be more in demand and cost more money to attend. For Bucks fans on a strict budget, try to avoid rivalry games and games against the NBA’s best teams. More times than not, the cheapest tickets to see the Bucks play will be against teams in the bottom half of the Western Conference standings.

Be Patient

Patience is a virtue when shopping for Bucks tickets, specifically on the secondary market. For most games, the longer you wait, the cheaper Bucks ticket prices will get. If you wait until 24 to 48 hours before tip-off, those hoping to sell their tickets on the secondary market will typically lower their prices. You could even try waiting until an hour or two before the game starts to find ticket prices at their absolute lowest. Just keep in mind that this isn’t an exact science. For more high-profile games, Bucks ticket prices may not decrease in the days leading up to game day.

Go on Family Night

One of the best deals for a Bucks fan is attending a game on a designated Family Night. There are over half a dozen games during the season, almost always on a weekend, that offer ticket packages that also include food and drink for everyone in your party in addition to a ticket to the game. If you’re planning on buying refreshments at Fiserv Forum anyway, this is a great way to get the most bang for your buck. The best part is that most of these Family Night games are against quality opponents, helping to add to the value of the ticket.

Sit in the 200 Level

Everyone would love to sit courtside at an NBA game and be as close to the action as possible. But if you’re looking for the best value tickets rather than the most expensive tickets, you’re probably going to want tickets in the 200 level of Fiserv Forum. However, sitting on the second level of the arena doesn’t mean having bad tickets. Sections 207-209 and 221-223 will put you in the middle of the court with a great view of the action. More importantly, you’re not going to break the bank buying these tickets. This is the best way to see a great game at a fair price.
